Why We (Almost) Never Choose Marble

Don’t get us wrong – we love marble’s elegance and the history that goes with it. But we’ve also seen the heartbreak that goes along with someone who underestimated its sensitivity. If you’re someone who loves the natural aging process and is willing to embrace imperfection and the vintage look of patina as it ages, marble can be a beautiful choice. But if you want long-lasting luxury without the worry, quartz is absolutely the way to go.

Our Take: Marble can be stunning in low-traffic areas of your home, like powder rooms, or if it’s used as decorative backsplashes that are not prone to spills or scratches. But for kitchen countertops? We prefer quartz – it’s just more practical and reliable for everyday use.
